AMES, Iowa – Iowa State begins postseason at Big 12 Outdoor Championships hosted by Oklahoma Friday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14.

Competition begins Friday at 7 a.m. CT with the 10,000-meter run. The decathlon and heptathlon will begin, while the hammer and javelin will also take place Friday. On Saturday, multi-events continue at 10 a.m. with field events starting at 3 p.m. and running events at 4 p.m. Competition continues through Sunday with field events at 2:30 p.m. and running events at 5 p.m.
Cyclones hold 19 top-five ranked marks or times throughout 14 men's and women's events among the Big 12. Cailie Logue holds the top 5K time with 15:36.40 and the second-fastest 10K time of 32:33.63. Other Cyclones with No. 2 conference rankings entering the championships are Ezekiel Rop (1,500m), Kaylyn Hall (100m hurdles), Gable Sieperda (3K steeplechase) and Zach Podraza (javelin).
Last week at the ISU Alumni Invitational, Cyclones recorded six top 10 program performances throughout the women's shot put, discus, 400m dash and the men's hammer and 110m hurdles. Four Iowa State event groups rank inside the top 10 nationally this week in the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings, the men's 800m (No. 4), women's heptathlon (No. 5), men's shot put (No. 7) and women's 100m hurdles (No. 8).
