The day started off with Ezekiel Rop earning his first-career Big 12 silver medal with his 1,500-meter time of 3:37.03, .11 seconds off his school record. Rop ran with the lead pack of three throughout the race, before breaking away with Oklahoma State's Fouad Messauodi in the final lap.
