Cyclones Win Zach Johnson Invitational

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The Cyclones place first in the Zach Johnson Invitational led by tournament winner, Luke Gutschewski, along with Zach May and Paul Beauvy who both placed in the top 10.

Gutschewski led the Cyclones to tournament victory with a score of 15-under-par. He ended day one of the tournament in first and held his lead through round three. Gutschewski carded a career low 54 (198) with all three rounds in the 60s. Gutschewski had 17 birdies and one eagle.

Zach May tied for third, his best career finish. May also carded a career low 54 (209) and a career low 18 (66). May finished the tournament with 13 birdies.

Paul Beauvy tied for ninth with a score of 212 (71-70-71). Beauvy had an eagle and 8 birdies.

Owen Sawyer tied for 12th, a career best finish, while carding a career low 213. Sawyer had a pair of 70s in the first and third round setting a career low 18.

Dianchao Wu tied for 35th carding a 223 to match his career low 54. Wu shot a 70 in the second round to set a career low 18.

Lukas Pany competed as an individual and tied for 16th with a score of one-over-par. Pany started off the tournament by carding a 69 in the first round. He ended the tournament with an eagle on hole 15 of round three.

The Cyclones will continue their season Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, Ind.
