Cyclones Tie For 10th At The Gopher Invitational

INDEPENDENCE, Minn. - Carding an overall score of 866, the Cyclones jumped up a spot in the final round of the Gopher Invitational to tie for 10th.

The second round was key for the Cyclones as they scored a 276, the lowest 18-hole score of the tournament by any team.

Iowa State had a collective 10 birdies in the final round of the tournament.

Paul Beauvy, tying for 18th, led the Cyclones with three birdies in the final round. Beauvy and Luke Gutschewski each carded a 71 in the final round. Gutschewski tied for 31st with a 216.

Iowa State returns to action Sept. 25-26 at the Zach Johnson Invitational in West Des Moines. Last year, the Cyclones finished in second place at the Zach Johnson Invitational.
