Cyclones Continue Their Season Close To Home

AMES, Iowa - Following a two week break, the Iowa State men's golf team will continue their season in West Des Moines, Iowa at the Zach Johnson Invitational. The tournament will begin Monday, Sept. 25Â and conclude Tuesday, Sept. 26.Â

The Course: Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio, Glen Oaks Country Club was renovated in 2016-17. Iowa Golf Digest continually ranks Glen Oaks Country Club in the top three for courses in the state of Iowa.Â

- The Cyclones won their first tournament on the season at the Iowa Fall Classic. The victory was the first team win since the 2018 Hawkeye Invitational.Â
- Zach May carded a career three-round low of 213 at the Iowa Fall Classic.Â
- The Cyclones carded a 276, the lowest round score of all teams at the Gopher Invitational.Â
- On the Cyclones' all-time career stroke average list, Gutschewski sits in first with a 71.80 scoring average.
