AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State track and field teams continue with their season this weekend in Iowa City with the Larry Wieczorek Invitational. Competition begins Friday with the multi-events at 11 a.m., field events at 2 p.m. and track competition at 5:30 p.m.
The weekend's competition will be streamed via BTN Plus/FloTrack. A subscription for either BTN Plus or Flotrack are needed for the stream. The 2018 addition of the Larry Wieczorek Invitational will feature nine collegiate teams, along with a couple dozen professional athletes. The Cyclones will step up their competition level, with many of ISU's top student-athletes in competition this weekend. 2017 First Team All-Americans Jalen Ford (men's high jump), Jhoanmy Luque (women's long jump) and Jasmine Staebler (women's mile) are all entered to be in action this weekend.
The weekend will also see the beginning of the multi-events season. Wyatt Rhoads is entered in the heptathlon, while Emily Coghill and Emma Whigham are in the pentathlon.
