The Iowa State men, ranked at No. 11 in this week's USTFCCCA rankings, will be looking to move up one more spot after last year's Big 12 Era-best of second place. Edwin Kurgat, last season's indoor 3,000 and 5,000-meter run champion, is also entered in the mile, as he will look to be just the second male in Big 12 history to win all three events on the same weekend.
The Cyclone men will have a strong presence in the middle distance races, with Roshon Roomes (600-yard run and 800-meter run) and Festus Lagat (1,000-meter run and mile), both pulling double duty.
As for the ISU women, Cailie Logue will look to add to her conference title collection, as she has four to her name so far in her Cyclone career. Logue will be among the favorites in the 3,000 and 5,000-meter run. The Cyclones will also look to their women's distance depth to continue to rack up points.
In the field, Erika Furbeck has had a strong season and is only a couple of inches away from breaking into the top-16 and the NCAA Indoor Championships in the long jump. Keiara Williams will be a contender to score in both the weight throw and shot put.
