AMES, Iowa – Iowa State is set to host 10 schools for the 2023 Cyclone Open Saturday, Jan. 21. Field events are slated for 11 a.m. and running events begin at noon.

Many Cyclones will make their season debut in distance events on both the women's and men's side including Cailie Logue in the mile and 5,000-meter run, both events in which she is ranked second in program history. Cebastian Gentil, Darius Kipyego and Peter Smith continue to hold the top-three fastest 800-meter run times in the nation and are entered to make another run in the event on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT – Graduate Classic
Five program top-10 all-time performances were turned in at Nebraska. Cam Jones set a pair with the second-ranked weight throw mark and seventh-ranked shot put performance. Jones weight throw PR of 69-7 (21.21m) currently ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 12 in the NCAA. Freshman Ava Cinnamo made her appearance at No. 6 in the triple jump list in her first time competing in the event collegiately. Rebecca Manteuffel notched the ninth-best weight throw finish while Peter Smith ran to the 10th-best 1,000-meter run time.

The Cyclones take on the Razorback Invitational in Arkansas next Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27-28.
